We rank Little Wind Casino among the best legal casinos in Wyoming as it offers up the largest number of games for any casino operating in the state. It also has a very enticing rewards programme that enables regular visitors to maximise their gambling by collecting rewards during each visit.
When it comes to Little Wind casino the only games on offer are slot machines. However, the casino’s website proudly boasts that these casinos are the same as those you would find in Vegas so players looking for their next big win will be sure to be entertained here. Sadly, there aren’t any traditional casino table games on offer at Little Wind, so if this is what you are after it probably isn’t the casino for you.
If you do end up venturing to Little Wind, chances are you will have gone out of your way to get there as it is located in the heart of the Wind River Indian Reservation – which is off the beaten track. Not to worry though as the casino does boast an onsite restaurant, meaning you can make a day trio out of your visit by dining onsite.

Shoshone Rose is the only casino operating in Wyoming that is not owned by the Northern Arapaho Tribe. This casino is instead owned and operated by the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and is the tribe’s first venture in the casino industry. Having only opened in 2007, the casino is considered one of the top Wyoming casinos due to its recent refurbishments and gambling offering.
Like all other casinos operating in Wyoming, Shoshone Rose’s gambling offering is limited by the state’s gambling laws, meaning that only slot machine gambling and limited table games are on offer in this casino. Don’t let this deter you though there are over 400 slot machines to choose from and while there are only a limited number of table games on offer they do pack a punch.
Not only does the casino offer gambling it has also diversified during a recent 2016 refurbishment to boast an onsite hotel – meaning you can make the most of your visit by splitting it across several days. With 60+ luxury rooms, an indoor heated pool, hot tub, meeting rooms and a business centre located just minutes from the mountain town Lander it’s no wonder this hotel has become one of the favoured casino hotels in Wyoming.
As well as the onsite hotel, Shoshone Rose also has onsite dining options. Punters visiting the casino can choose from either Deka-Guy Hee Restaurant which serves local delicacies such as fry bread alongside American staples such as burgers, steaks and more. The alternative dining option comes in the guise of a snack bar which offers up on-the-go food for those who would rather snack and wager at the same time.

Unlike other Northern Arapaho Tribe Casino’s Wind River is not just limited to slot machine gambling and also offers table games – this is what helps to elevate its offering against the local competitors and makes it the largest casino offering in the state. Not only is the casino home to nine live casino tables that operate 24/7 but one of them also offers poker – which is a unique offering in Wyoming.
Wind River also has an onsite hotel that is connected to the casino. The hotel has 90 rooms and three suites, and is also home to the Northern Arapaho Experience Cultural Room which allows visitors to explore the history of the local tribe through storytelling, photographs, paintings and artifacts. For those who want to take a piece of the local history home with them, there is even an onsite gift shop offering up objects crafted by local artisans.
